The predecessor organization to Tyler Scenic, McGuire Scenic, was founded in 1995 by Laura Perlman and Don McGuire. The company grew steadily by consistently exceeding client and industry expectations. Known for its attention to detail and blending small-business roots with large-scale capabilities, the company earned a solid reputation for quality in the entertainment industry. Over the years, McGuire Scenic expanded, working with top-tier clients nationwide. In 2023, the company was acquired by Tyler Truss Systems, a leading manufacturer for the live event industry, and rebranded as Tyler Scenic.

Tyler Scenic prides itself as an organization that is passionate about traditional theatrical scenic construction. Though our innovation is expressed by using contemporary materials and tools, our engineering approach remains grounded in tried-and-true stagecraft.
